HEAD Architecture and Design Residence interior living roomHEAD Architecture and Design is the Hong Kong based architecture firm who has designed this beautiful apartment interior located in the Discovery Bay area of Hong Kong. The matsuki residence was designed on a tight budget with limited time, two unexceptional apartments have been combined to form what is essentially a single, dramatically conceived space.
This is a new home for a new family, in which the rituals of family life – bathing, playing, eating, sleeping – can be thoroughly re-evaluated, with an open-plan sequence of simple flexible spaces facilitating the informal flow and changing requirements of an expanding family. Like a blank canvas the spaces are currently rather bare but, as the family grows and memories are created, the walls will quickly fill up.
